'Positions available' on PwC graduate scheme

03/07/2009 'Positions available' on PwC graduate schemePricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) still has a number of vacancies available on its graduate recruitment course, something that may be of interest to those seeking tax jobs at the Big Four firm.

The company is taking on 1,000 graduates during 2009 and Sonja Stockton, head of recruitment at PwC, explained that the vacancies are an ideal opportunity for those who are looking to enter the business world.

"While the graduate employment market is tougher than it has been in a generation, there are still opportunities," she remarked, adding that those seeking a position will need to work on researching the organisation and must "accurately" reflect their achievements in their applications.

She noted that undergraduates who are still at university but intend to apply for the graduate scheme once they leave should consider ways of making themselves more attractive to an employer by taking summer jobs, internships or temporary work.

The company currently employs around 16,000 people in the UK and has offices in London, Sheffield, Manchester and Glasgow, as well as a number of other cities.
